You are invited to join The American Society of Transportation & Logistics (AST&L) Philadelphia Chapter for an engaging discussion and dinner. This professional networking opportunity will be held at a Philadelphia Italian restaurant on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in Philadelphia, PA.

The theme is "Freight Broker and/or Carrier: How Effective Utilization Can Add Value to Your Supply Chain." This will be a panel discussion.

Jeff Tucker is CEO of Tucker Company Worldwide, Inc., the nation's oldest privately held freight brokerage, and is co-founder and CEO of QualifiedCarriers.Com  - a compliance and risk management tool for shippers. Jeff is Vice Chairman of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA), has testified in Congress on CSA (Compliance, Safety, and Accountability) and was recently appointed to the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration(FMCSA) Subcommittee on CSA.

Joe LoCastro is a former President of the World Trade Association of Philadelphia as well as a former President of The Traffic Club of Philadelphia. Previously he was Director of Sales for H&M Transportation. He has 30 years of diverse experience in the inter modal and trucking industry.

Our distinguished panel will discuss the effect of CSA, hours of service rules, and regulation of the trucking industry; and review ways to effectively utilize the services of carriers, freight broker and the changing inter modal industry today, to better prepare for tomorrow.
